Kershaw, Thomas c. 1859 - 1915

Thomas Kershaw was born in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, England in c.1859. He was articled to George Buckley & Son in Halifax, Yorkshire in 1878 and remained with the firm as an assistant.  In 1894 he qualified as an architect and subsequently set up his own practice in Halifax. In 1906 he submitted an entry in a competition to design the Dual Secondary School in Castleford, Yorkshire. His designs are illustrated in British Competitions in Architecture vol. 1, no. 12, April 1907 (pp. 17-20).

Kershaw was elected a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA) in 1888. His address was given as 41 Akeds Road Halifax, Halifax in 1911 and 26 George Street, Halifax in 1914.  He died in 1915
