James Ernest Lund was born in Worthing, Sussex, England in 1881 and was articled to his father, Thomas Proctor Lund (1857-c.1900). He commenced independent practice in Worthing in 1900 and was in partnership with Harold Marten Potter (1877-1937) from 1900 to 1904. He was a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA) and was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1925. His address: The Cove, Christ Church Road, Worthing, Sussex in 1914; and 120a, Portland Road, Worthing in 1923, and1939. He died in Worthing, Sussex on 22 November 1962.
