Mansell, Thomas Henry 1833 - 1911

Thomas Henry Mansell was born in Stourbridge, Worcestershire, England on 13 July 1833.  It is not known where or with whom he trained as an architect, By 1868 he was in practice at Argyle Chambers, Colmore Row, Birmingham. By 1879 he had relocated his business to Bennett's Hill off Colmore Row, Birmingham. In 1883 he moved once more to 2 Newhall Street, Birmingham.

In c. 1892 he formed a partnership with his sons, Edward Mansell (1860-1941) and Thomas Gildart Mansell (1866-1929) as Mansell & Mansell. They had an offices at 7 Temple Row, Birmingham.  Not long after the partnership was formed, Mansell senior retired leaving his sons to run the practice.

Thomas Henry Mansell died on 3 June 1911. His address at the time of his death was Melby, 102 Christchurch Road, Boscombe, Bournemouth, Hampshire
