Stanley George Roff Marsh [commonly known as Roff Marsh] was born in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England on 27 April 1910 and worked as an architect in the UK from the 1930s onwards. In the late 1930s he was a partner the London architectural firm Elliott, Archer & Marsh. He was founder in 1946 of Roff Marsh Partnership based in Colchester, Essex.
A house in Chelmsford designed by Roff Marsh is featured in ‘Decorative Art’ 1950-51 (pp.8, 9); a photograph of a chair with a sycamore frame and velvet upholstery, designed by Roff Marsh and made by D. Burkle & Son Ltd. is illustrated in 'Decorative Art' vol.42, 1952-53 (p.47); and a farm buildings he designed in Abbess Roding in Essex is discussed in in ‘Architect & Building News’ 25 October 1951 (pp.450-453).
Marsh was elected an Associate of the Royal institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1934 and later a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA). He was also an Associate Member of the Town Planning Institute (AMTPI).
Marsh's address was given as 29 Bedford Row, London and Norwich Union Buildins, Chelmsford, Essex in 1939. He died in Chelmsford in September 1972
