Marshall, Alfred 1849 - 1932

Alfred Marshall was born in Otley, Yorkshire, England on 21 March 1849 and was articled to Dixon & Hart in Bradford, Yorkshire. He also attended Bradford Mechanics' Institute and Bradford School of Art. He commenced practice in Otley in 1871.  In the 1920s he was in partnership with one of his sons as Alfred Marshall & Son. He was a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA) from 1884 and was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1925. He died in Southport, Lancashire on 9 February 1932
