Denis Frederick Martineau was born in Boxmoor, Hertfordshire, England on 6 November 1907. It is not known where he trained as an architect. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1933. His address was given as 42 Catherine Place, Victoria, City Of Westminster, London and Goodwyns Place, Dorking, Surrey in 1939. He died in Salisbury, Wiltshire on 4 December 1975
