May, Thomas Frost 1855 - 1936

Thomas Frost May was born in Stoke Damerel, Devon, England on 14 November 1855. He worked for various contractors for a number of years and was employed as Clerk of Works by James Piers St. Aubyn (1815-1895) by H. M. Office of Works until at least 1913 and was stationed at the Tower of London from 1892 to 1913.   Whilst working for H. M. Office of Works, he also established his own independent architectural practice in London and was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1911

May's address was given as 24 Gladwell Road, Stroud Green, Hornsey, Middlesex [now London] in 1911 and 1930. He died on 29 April 1936 and was buried in Lostwithiel, Cornwall
