Milligan, Alfred Francis McGregor 1873 - 1909

Alfred Francis McGregor Milligan [also known as Alfred F. M. Milligan] was born in Wrexham, Wales in 1873.  By the early 1890s he had moved to Birkenhead, Cheshire. His occupation was given as an architectural draughtsman in the 1891 England and Wales Census and Architect in the 1901 in the 1901 England and Wales Census, however it is not known where and with whom he trained.

During the early years of the twentieth century he was in partnership with (?) Black as Black and Milligan.  Their office was located at Central Chambers, South Castle Street, Liverpool in 1908.  In 1908 they submitted an entry in a competition to design Ilford Emergency Hospital.  Their designs are illustrated in British Competitions in Architecture vol. 2, no. 19, December 1908 (pp. 233-236)

Milligan died on 26 November 1909.  His address at the time of his death was Kynnaird, Llanfair, Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales.
