Moberly, Arthur Hamilton 1886 - 1952

Arthur Hamilton Moberly was born in Great Budsworth, Cheshire, England in 1886 and attended the Architectural Association Schools in London between 1906 and 1908, and the Royal Academy Schools in London in 1909. In 1908 he was articled to Edward John May (1853-1941) in London.  He qualified as an architect in 1909 and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) the following year.  He subsequently practised as an architect in London. From the mid-1920s he was in partnership with John Alan Slater (1885-1963) as Slater & Moberly. In 1936 Reginald Harold Uren (1906-1988) joined the practice which was renamed Slater, Moberly & Uren. He died in Ashford, Kent on 1 March 1952
