Edward Mold studied at the Architectural Association Architecture Schools in London and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA). He subsequently practised as an architect from the 1940s to the 1960s. He also designed furniture and interiors. He designed a stand for the Society of Industrial Artists Furniture Group at the 1957 Furniture Exhibition in London. The stand is discussed in 'Exhibitions and exhibitionism' Art and Industry July 1957 pp.22-25.
During the 1950s Mold worked for R. Duncan Scott & Partners.
Mold was a member of the Member of the Society of Industrial Artists (MSIA). He lived in Guildford, Surrey where he also had his office.
