Mosely, Edna 1899 - 1954

Edna Mosley

Edna Mosely [also known as Mrs Alfred Stocken Knott and as Mrs Stocken Knott] was born in 1899 and trained as an architect at the Architectural Association Schools in London. She subsequently worked as an architect from the 1920s to the early 1950s.   She was a partner with her husband, Arthur Stocken Knott, in the London-based practise Knott & Mosely. A photograph of a bachelor girl's flat designed by Knott & Mosely is illustrated in 'Decorative Art' 1933 (p.55).

Mosely was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1926 and was a member of the Electrical Association for Women (EAW). She designed a kitchen for the ‘Britain Can Make It’ exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, in 1946.

Her address was given as 80 Edith Grove, Chelsea, London in 1950. She died in 1954.
