Christopher Myers was born in Lancashire, England in 1717. After being employed as an assistant on the development of Ramsgate Harbour in Kent, in the early 1750s he he moved to Ireland where he worked for the rest of his career as an architect. He died in June or July 1789.
Note: there is some confusion over the work undertaken in Ireland by Christopher Myers (1717) and his sons, Christopher Myers (c.1754-1798) and Graham Myers (1746-1801)
