Painter, Alfred Eaton 1875 - 1930

Alfred Eaton Painter was born in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England in 1875 and was articled to John Weller (1830-1905) in Wolverhampton from 1891 to 1895. He also attended Wolverhampton School of Art and Regent Street Polytechnic in London. After working as an assistant to various architectural offices in London from 1895 to 1899, he set up his own architectural practice in Wolverhampton.  He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1911.  He subsequently practised in Wolverhampton until the late 1920s.  He died in Oxley, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire on 25 September 1930
