Palmer, Henry William Hetherington 1876 - 1965

Henry William Hetherington Palmer was born on 4 May 1876. He was articled to Frederick Hall-Jones (1866-1838) in London in 1891 and remained with him as his assistant.  He also studied at University College, London and attended classes at the Architectural Association Schools in London.  He commenced independent practice as an architect at the Outer Temple in London in 1897.   His practice took in St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex in 1900 and Tunbridge Wells, Kent in 1905, and later Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex.  He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1907.

Palmer's address was given as 40 Mount Pleasant, Tunbridge Wells, Kent and Belsize, Filsham Park, St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex in 1907; The Outer Temple, Strand, London in 1907 and 1914; 72, Station Road, Bexhill-on-Sea in 1914 and 1926; and 1 Oakfield Court, Camden Hill, Tunbridge Wells, Kent in 1930.  He died in Leonards-On-Sea, Sussex on 17 January 1965
