Phillips, Edward 1887 - 1956

Edward Phillips was born in West Boldon, Durham, England on 14 May 1887.  By 1917 he had moved to Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, where he subsequently practised as an architect.  In the 1939 England and Wales Register his occupation was given as architect, employed by Nottingham Corporation.

Photographs of houses in Bells Lane and Bells Lane, Nottingham designed by Phillips are illustrated in The Book of the Modern House, edited by Patrick Abercrombie (1939 p. 163).

Phillips was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1932.  His address was given as 10 Premier Road, Nottingham, Nottingham in 1933 and 1939. He died in Nottingham in 1956
