Pilditch, Philip Harold 1890 - 1949

Philip Harold Pilditch [also known as Sir Philip Harold Pilditch] was born at Phillimore Gardens, Kensington, London, England on 13 November 1890 and was the son of the architect and politician Philip Edward Pilditch (1861-1948). He trained as an architect at Cambridge University and was articled to Collcutt & Hamp in London. In 1920 he was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA). He joined his father's architectural firm Pilditch, Chadwick & Co. in London and by 1925 was a partner in the practice.

P. H. Pilditch served as a commissioned officer in the Army in France during World War One, rising to the rank of Major. He died in London on 6 December 1949. His address at the time of his death was Abbotswood, Oakfield Glade, Weybridge, Surrey.
