Planck, George Walter, 1855 - 1920

George Walter Planck [also known George Walter Plank; and as W. Planck] was born in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England in July 1855. He was active as an architect from c.1890 onwards.  In 1895 he won an architectural competition to design All Souls Presbyterian church in Belfast.  The church was built vthe following year.

Planck was also a sculptor. A font in alabaster designed by him and executed by J. Daymond & Son is illustrated in 'The Studio' June 1906 (p.68). Planck exhibited once at the Royal Academy in London in 1911.

His address was given as 400 Buckingham Palace Road, London in 1891; 25 Beauchamp Road, Battersea, London in 1901; and 16 Blandfields Street, Nightingale Lane, Clapham, London in 1911.  He died in Wandsworth, London in September 1920.
