Rhodes, John William 1860 - 1943

John William Rhodes [commonly known as John W. Rhodes] was born in Croydon, Surrey [now London] in 1860 and was active as an architect in London, England between 1899 and 1908. A photograph of a living room in a cottage at Orpington designed by Rhodes is featured in 'The Studio Yearbook of Decorative Art' 1907 (p.67).  Rhodes had an office in Mitre Court Chambers, Temple, London.

In addition to his work as an architect, Rhodes was also a painter and between 1899-1908 he exhibited at the London Salon and two examples at the Royal Academy in London.  He died in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex in 1943
