Thomas William Turnbull Richardson was born in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, England on 20 February 1864 and was articled to Henry Weatherill of Weatherill & Moser in Stockton-on-Tees. He commenced independent practice as an architect in Stockton-on-Tees in 1887. By 1923 he had been elected a Fellow of the Society of Architects (F.S.Arc.) and was admitted a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1925. His address was given "Gulval", Norton-on-Tees in 1914 and 57, High Street, Stockton-on-Tees in 1914 and 1939. He died in Crook, Durham on 27 March 1947
