Haydn Parke Roberts was born in Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales in 1881*. He was articled to Tudor & Thornley in Cardiff, Wales from 1897 to 1899 and remained as their assistant until 1901. He also studied at Cardiff School of Art and Science, and at Regent Street Polytechnic and Westminster School of Art in London. He was employed as an assistant to Lennox Robertson (1869-?); Rhys Samuel Griffiths of Griffiths & Jones in Tonypandy, Wales in 1901-02; in London County Council Architects' Department from 1902 to 1904; and to Cardiff School Board Architect from 1904 to 1906. That year he passed his qualifying exam.
Roberts established his own architectural practice in Cardiff in 1903. In 1906 he relocated his practice to Horsham, West Sussex in 1906, and then to Worthing, West Sussex in 1910. He was appointed Architect to West Sussex County Council in 1906.
He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1907 and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1912. His address was given as 193 Trafalgar Road, Horsham, West Sussex in 1907; Cartref, Navarlno Road, Worthing in 1912 and 1914; Thurloe House, High Street, Worthing in 1912 and 1926 ; and "Fernleigh", North Street, Chichester, West Sussex in 1930. Hedied in Worthing, West Sussex on 29 April 1953
