Robertson, James C.,

By 1907 James C. Robertson was in practice as an architect in Glasgow, Scotland, however, it is not known where or with whom he trained.   In 1907 he submitted an entry for a competition to design buildings for the Scottish National Exhibition held in Edinburgh in 1908.  His designs are illustrated in British Competitions in Architecture vol. 2, no. 14, December 1907 (pp. 84-85).

His address was given as 219 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow in 1907;  and 6, Broomhill Gardens, Partick, Glasgow in 1908. He subsequently moved to Orkney.  His address was given as Willowburn Road, Kirkwall, Orkney, Scotland in 1940.

* Note the 1901 Scotland Census lists a James Robertson born in Glasgow in c.1881 who was an apprentice architect, however, it is not known if this is the same person.
