Robertson, Norris Bathgate 1884 - 1966

Norris Bathgate Robertson was born in Billesdon, Leicestershire, England in 1884 [or 1885 - sources differ]. He was articled to Arthur Henry Hind (1862-1943) from 1900 to 1904 and remained with him as his assistant in 1905. He then worked as an assistant to James Tait (1834?-1915 )and Albert Herbert (1875-?) of Tait & Herbert from 1906 to 1908). He worked again as Hind's assistant from 1908 to 1910, before working as an assistant to William Morten Cowdell (c.1855-1925) in 1908 and to Samuel Perkins Pick (1858?-1919) from 1910.  

Robertson qualified as an architect in 1910 and in 1911 was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA).   He subsequently practised as an architect in Leicester and, from the early 1920s in Keighley, Yorkshire

His address was given as 241 Uppingham Road Leicester, Leicester, Leicestershire, England in 1911; 5, Kimberley Road, Leicester in 1914; and West Banks, Riddlesden, Keighley, Yorkshire in 1923 and 1939.  He died in Worth Valley, Yorkshire in  1966
