Rutter, Charles Daniel 1869 - 1937

Charles Daniel Rutter was born London, England in 1869* [or 1872 -  sources differ] and was articled to Thomas William Willis in London. He also attended the Architectural Association Schools in London and University College, London.  He commenced independent practice in Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales in 1906. He was employed for eight years in War Dept. at Belfast. Perth and Aberdeen, chiefly as Acting Division Officer, Royal Engineers.

Rutter was a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA). His address was given as Hughendon Avenue, Clifton Ward, Belfast, Antrim, Ireland in 1901; Paris Bank Chambers, Wrexham, North Wales in 1914; 3 Abbey Drive East, Grimsby in 1918; Holly Lodge, Chestnut Grove, New Malden, Surrey in 1923; and 51 Seaward Avenue, West Southbourne, Bournemouth, Hampshire [now Dorset] in 1937.  He died on 16 January 1937

* The England & Wales, Civil Registration Birth Index, 1837-1915 gives his year of birth as 1869, however, Who's Who in Architecture 1914 gives it as 1872.
