Sharp, Abraham 1853 - 1918

Abraham Sharp was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England on 10 September 1853. He was articled to Thomas Campbell Hope (1834-1916) of Hope & Jardine in Bradford from 1870 to 1875 and remained with him as his assistant until 1879.  He also attended classes at South Kensington Schools of Art.  He established his own architectural practice in Bradford in 1880.  He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1911.  

His address was given as 31 Moss Street, Bradford in 1861; 14 St. James St., Bradford in 1881; 3 Gray Rigg Terrace, Broughton East, Lancashire in 1891;  and 19, Cecil Avenue, Great Horton, Bradford in 1901 and 1918. He died in Bradford on 27 March 1918.
