Skipworth, Arthur Henry 1861 - 1907

Arthur Henry Skipworth was born in Croxby, Lincolnshire, England on 6 September 1861.  He was articled to George Frederick Bodley (1827-1907) of Bodley & Garner in London and remained as his assistant.

By 1889 Skipworth had established his own practice 5 Staple Inn, London. He was associated with Edward Prioleau Warren (1856-1937) and share the same office, although they appear not to have been in partnership.

Architectural drawings by Skipworth were exhibited frequently at the Royal Academy in London between 1889 and 1903.  He also exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh.  

According to Gray, Skipworth was a member of the Art Workers Guild, however, his name does not appear in the AWG list of members 1884-1984

His address was given as 5 Staple Inn, London in 1889 and 1906.  He died on 12 April 1907. His death was registered in Hampstead, Middlesex [now London]
