Smith, Harry Augustus Frank 1862 - 1933

Harry Augustus Frank Smith [also known as Harry A. F. Smith] was born in Alverstoke, Hampshire, England in 1862. He was articled to F. J. Dibble in Dorking, Surrey for five years and worked in the Engineering and Surveying Department of Crystal Palace in Sydenham, Kent.   He commenced practice as an architect in Gosport, Hampshire in 1888.  

Smith was elected a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA) in 1889 and a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1925.   His address was given as Star Chambers, Gosport, Hampshire in 1896 and 1914; Royston, Alverstoke in 1914; and 11 Foster Road, Gosport, Hampshire in 1923 and 1932; and Ashley Buildings, 13 High Street, Gosport, Hampshire in 1932.  He died in Gosport, Hampshire on 22 October 1933.
