Southgate, Frederick George 1906 - 1984

Frederick George Southgate was born in Combs, Suffolk, England on 9 September 1906.

He was practising as an architect by the mid-1920s, however, it is not known where or with whom he trained.  A design for a house by him was entered in The "Daily Mail" Ideal Houses Competition for Architects, 1927. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1937.  By 1939 he was Borough Surveyor for Lowestoft, Suffolk.

His address was given as Blake House, Marlborough, Wiltshire in 1927; 33 Royal Avenue, Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1939; and Johore, The Green, Great Massingham, Lynn, Norfolk.  He died in Great Massingham, Norfolk, on 14 May 1984
