Sven Sternfeldt was born in Suffolk, England in 1908 and worked as an architect from the 1940s onwards. Between the 1950s and at least the early 1970s he was employed as staff architect by the glass manufacturer Pilkington Bros. Ltd. A photograph of a glass-topped table designed by Sven Sternfeldt and made by Pilkington Bros. Ltd. is illustrated in 'Decorative Art' 1954-55 (p.47).
In 1953 Sternfeldt elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA). He died in 2005
