Stewart, James S. 1866 - 1904

James S. Stewart was born in Perth, Scotland in 1866.  He trained as an architect in the office of George Campbell Sherrin (1843-1909) in London and studied at the Royal Academy Schools in London where he was awarded the Gold and Silver Medals.  Between 1896 and 1904 he was in partnership with Henry Vaughan Lanchester (1863-1953) and Edwin Alfred Rickards (1872-1920) in the London-based architectural firm Lanchester, Stewart & Rickards.  Stewart died on 3 August 1904.
