Tribe, Arthur Walter 1862 - 1942

Arthur Walter Tribe was born in Lambeth, Surrey [now London], England in 1862. In the 1881 England and Wales Census he gave as his occupation Architect's Pupil. It is not known where or with whom he trained.  By the time of the 1891 Census he was practising as an architect in London.

Tribe was a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA) and was admitted a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1925.  He retired as an architect in 1935.

His address was given as 3A Oval Road, Lambeth, Surrey in 1881; 316 Kennington Park Road, Lambeth, Surrey in 1891; 191 Clapham Road, London in 1896; Champneys, Salisbury Avenue, Cheam, Surrey in 1911; Denison House, Westminster, London, S.W. 1914 and 1923; 33, Craven Street, Strand, London in 1926; and Arundel House, 19 Arundel Road, Cheam, Surrey in 1939 and 1942.  He died on 25 April 1925
