Waddington, Frank 1896 - 1952

Frank Waddington was born in Blackburn Lancashire, England in October 1896. He practised as an architect from c.1920. In the 1930s he worked in Sheffield City Architects' Department.

Five photographs, two plans, two elevations and a description of "White Walls, a house he designed for himself at Hoghton, near Preston, Lancashire in 1937 is featured in 'Decorative Art' 1942 (pp.26, 27, 28, 29).  

Waddington was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1938.  

In addition to his work as an architect Waddington was a painter. Between 1932 and 1937 he exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh.

His address was given as Feniscowles, near Blackburn, Lancashire in 1932 and "White Walls", Hoghton, near Preston in 1939.  He died in London on 8 July 1952.
