Walker, Frank Hugh 1882 - 1958

Frank Hugh Walker was born in Windermere, Westmorland [now Cumbria], England on 28 October 1882. His father, Robert Walker (1941-1903) was an architect with a practice in Windermere, Westmorland and he may have received his training from him  In 1903 he formed a partnership with his father and James Carter (c.1876-1976) as Walker Carter & Walker. Within a week Walker senior died, nevertheless, the title of the firm was retained and remained unchanged unchanged until at least the outbreak of World War Two in 1939.

Frank Hugh Walker was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1939. He died in Gourdock, Scotland in 1958
