Leonard Edmund Walker [also known as L. Edmund Walker] was born in Shepherd's Bush, Middlesex [now London], England on 15 December 1885. In the 1901 England and Wales Census his occupation was given as Bricklayer's assistant. By 1911 he was employed by H.M. Office of Works as clerk of works and was living in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. By the 1920s he had moved to King's Lynn, Norfolk, England and was working as an architect and builder.
His address was given as Wicken Garth, Ashwicken, near King's Lynn, Norfolk in 1953. He died in King's Lynn, Norfolk on 6 August 1953
Walker designed the The Eagle Hotel in Norfolk Street, King's Lynn, Norfolk in 1927. A photograph and plans of a Garden Pavilion at Vyse Court, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire designed by him are illustrated in Modern Architectural Details. A Portfolio of Photographs and Working Drawings (London: The Architectural Press, 1928 plates. 41-42).
