Walker, William Thomas Mynors 1855 - 1930

William Thomas Mynors Walker was born in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England in 1855. He was articled to Joseph Morris (1836-1913) in Reading, Berkshire in 1872 and remained with him as his assistant for two years. He then worked as an assistant to George Campbell Sherrin (1843-1909) in London from 1877 to 1890.   He also attended the South Kensington Schools in London.  Walker commenced practice as an independent architect in London in 1890. He was in partnership with William Mitchell (1874-1935) as Walker & Mitchell in London from 1930 to 1935.

Walker was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1906.
His address was given as Carter Street, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire in 1861 and 1871;  22 Bodney Road, St John's at Hackney, London in 1881; 5 West Street, Finsbury Circus 1890 and 1900; 5 West Street, St Stephens, London in 1891; 40 Finsbury Square, London in 1900 and 1926; 28 Disraeli Mansions, Bective Road, Putney, Wandsworth, London in 1901; 14 Cecil House, High Street, Marylebone, London in 1906; Bedford Lodge, Bourne End, Woburn Hedsor, Buckinghamshire in 1911; and 210 Finsbury Pavement House, Moorgate, London in 1930. He died at 38 Pembroke Square, Earl's Court, Middlesex on 26 May 1930.
