Edgar Felix Ware was born in Exeter, Devon, England on 21 May 1872 and was the son of the architect, surveyor and civil engineer Charles Edwin Ware (1837-1911) with whom he may have received his training. He practised as a surveyor and architect in Exeter and in the 1890s or early 1900s formed the partnership Charles E. Ware & Son with his father
Edgar Felix Ware was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1933. His address was given as 29 St. David's Hill, Exeter in 1911; 18 Bedford Circus, Exeter, and 157 Magdalen Road, Exeter in 1939; and Barling Beech, Magdalen Road, Exeter in 1945. He died in Exeter on 30 December 1945
