Warren, Henry George 1885 - 1967

Henry George Warren was born in Exeter, Devon, England on 1 August 1885 and was articled to his father, Edward George Warren (1856–1913), in Exeter from 1901 to 1903. He then worked as an assistant to John Archibald Lucas (1869-1945) in 1904; to Edward Keynes Purchase (1862-1923) in 1904-05; and to John Robert Moore Smith (1856-1945). He also attended the Royal Albert Memorial College in Exeter, London University and South Kensington School in London.  He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1909 and that year commenced independent practice as an architect in London. He served as Senior Inspector in the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.

Warren's address was given as 14 Upper Court, Old Broad Street, London and 7 Craighton Road, London in 1909; 16, Queen Anne's Gate, London and 32, Balcaskie Road, Eltham, London in 1914;  137 Hampstead Way Hendon in 1924; 21, Monkswell Road, Exeter, Devon in 1926 and 1930; and 85 Chard Road, Heavitree, Exeter, Devon in 1939. He died in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset on 4 October 1967.
