Whitton, Wilfred Smythe 1863 - 1900

Wilfred Smythe Whitton [also known as Wilfred Smith Whitton, and as Wilfred S. Whitton was born in Methven, Perthshire, Scotland 8 May 1863.  Little is known about his career as an architect.  In the 1891 Scotland Census his occupation was given as Architect's Assistant.  

He was a member of the Edinburgh Architectural Association and a a sketch of the North transept gable of Methven Collegiate Church by him is illustrated in Edinburgh Architectural Association Sketch Book Volume 2, 1887-1894 plate 22.

His address was given as Bent Road, Isla Cottage, Hamilton, Lanarkshire in 1891. He died in Denver Colorado on 27 July 1900
