Woods, Ernest Lucius 1877 - 1952

Ernest Lucius Woods [also known as Ernest L. Woods, and E. L. Woods] was born in Co. Antrim, Ireland on 27 June 1877 and was articled to Josiah Corbett Bretland (1846-1921) for five years.  He commenced independent practice in Belfast and Bangor in 1899 and from 1899 to 1908 was Town Surveyor of Bangor.

Woods was elected a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers of Ireland (ICEI) in 1905 and the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) in 1911.

His address was given as  Princess Gardens, Princetown Road, Bangor, Co. Down in 1905; 80 Seacliff Road, Bangor, co. Down  4, Mayfair, Belfast in 1911 and 1915; 97, Main Street, Bangor, co. Down in 1914; 11 Chichester Street, Belfast in 1915 and 1940; and 6 Upper Malone Road, Belfast 1952. He died on 29 March 1952.
