Worrow, Frederick Isaac 1880 - 1942

Frederick Isaac Worrow was born in Shadwell, London on 13 August 1880 and was articled to John Murray (1864-1940) and Frank Foster (1867-?) of Murray & Foster from 1897 to 1900. He also attended classes at the Architectural Association Schools in London. After completing his articles he worked as an assistant to Augustus Eldred Hughes (1844-1907) and Augustus Edward Hughes  of A. E. Hughes & Son; to William Arthur Aikman (1859-1941); to Septimus Cecil Searle (1853-1922) and Edward George Hayes (1842?-1907) of Searle & Hayes (1842-1907); and to William Henry Duffield (?-1915).   

In 1907 he formed a partnership with his brother, Harry John Worrow (1877-1952) as H. & F. Worrow in 1907. The practice had an office in Basinghall Street, London.

Drawings and plans of a house designed by them are illustrated in Designs for One Hundred Ideal £1,000 Houses. Being copies of the hundred best designs entered in the 1912 Daily Mail Architects' Competition (1912 p.123).

F. I. Worrow was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1912.  His address was given as 99 Wellington Road, Snaresbrook, Essex in 1912; 70 Basinghall Street, London in 1912 and 1935; and 18 Chelmsford Road, Leytonstone, London in 1916. He died in Islington, London in 1942
