Wyld, Robert Stodart Balgarnie 1885 - 1973

Robert Stodart Balgarnie Wyld was born in Ellesmere, Shropshire, England on 9 June 1885. After studying at the Architectural Association in London in 1903-04, he was articled to Charles Sydney Spooner (1862-1938) in London from 1904 to 1907. He then worked as an assistant to Henry Thomas Hare (1860?-1921) from 1907 to 1909.

Wyld commenced practice in London in 1909. He passed his qualifying exam in 1911 and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1912.  His address was given as Rosebank, Mill Hill, London in 1912; 31 Bedford Row in 1914 and 1935; and 1 Hare Court, Temple, London in 1939.  He died in Eton, Buckinghamshire on 2 September 1973
