Yeomans, Arthur William 1860 - 1929

Arthur William Yeomans was born in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England on 24 January 1860 and was articled to Fothergill Watson (1841-1928) and Lawrence George Summers (1854-1940) in Nottingham from 1876 to 1881.  He then worked in the offices of various architects from 1881 to 1886 before establishing his own architectural practice in Kegworth, Leicestershire in 1886. In 1889 he relocated his practice to Chard in Somerset where he remained for the rest of his career as an architect.  He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1903.  He died at the Freemasons Hospital in Chelsea, London on 7 October 1929.
