Thomas P. Marwick & Son [also known as T.P. Marwick & Son] had its origins in an architectural practice established by Thomas Purves Marwick (1854-1927) in Edinburgh in 1879. His son, Thomas Craigie Marwick (1878-1965) became a partner in the practice in 1917 and following the death of his father a decade later, continued to run the practice with the title unchanged for some years. He in turn was joined in partnership by his son, Thomas Waller Marwick (1903-1971) in 1935. The practice eventually closed in the early 1940s
Thomas P. Marwick & Son designed several shops for St Cuthbert's Wholesale Co-operative Association in Edinburgh; and pavilions and other buildings for the Glasgow Empire Exhibition at Bellahouston, Glasgow in 1937.
