Mewes & Davis was an architectural partnership formed in 1900 by French-born architect Charles-Frédéric Mewès (1858-1914), and British architect Arthur Joseph Davis (1878-1951), both of whom trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. It had offices in London and Cologne, Germany.
The firm closed following the death of Mewès in 1914. The practice re-opened following World War One and continued for several more years under the name Mewès & Davis.

Among projects by the firm were the Palm Court of the Carlton Hotel in London (1901); the construction and decoration of the London Ritz Hotel (1903-06); Cavalry Club, Piccadilly, London (1908); Inveresk House for the Morning Post on the Strand, London (1908); Royal Automobile Club, St. James's, London (1908-11); and the Cunard Building at the Pier Head, Liverpool, in collaboration with B. M. Morris of Morris & Connor and Willink & Dod (1914-17). Other commissions included the refurbishment of Luton Hoo in Bedfordshire for Sir Julius Wernher (1903-05); interior of the SS Amerika, including a Ritz restaurant (1905-06); the renovation of Coombe Court in Coombe, Surrey for Lady De Grey; an extension to Polesden Lacey in Surrey for Mrs Ronald Greville (1906); Hotel Ritz Madrid in collaboration with the Spanish architect Luis de Landecho (1910); interiors of the SS Imperator (1913); interiors of the RMS Aquitania (1914); interiors of the SS Vaterland (1914); National Westminster Bank, Threadneedle Street, London (1925); Morgan Grenfell’s Bank, Great Winchester Street, London (1928–29); and the Hudson’s Bay Company Building, Bishopsgate, London (1930). They also designed branches of the London County & Westminster Bank in Brussels, Nantes and Antwerp.
