Stephenson & Aldred c. 1935 - c. 1936

Stephenson & Aldred [also known as Gordon Stephenson & D. W. Aldred] was a short-lived architectural partnership formed in Liverpool, England in c.1935 by Gordon Stephenson (1908-1997) and Douglas Winston Aldred (1909-1987). Semi-detached houses on Moor Lane in Crosby, Liverpool designed by Stephenson & Crosby in 1936 are discussed in The Modern House in England by F.R.S. Yorke (London: The Architectural Press, 1937 pp. 42-43).  The partnership was probably dissolved in 1935 or 1936 as from 1936 to 1938 Stephenson was a Harkness Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
