Bunney, Charlotte 1910 - 1995

Charlotte Bunney was born Charlotte Gray [also known as Lota Gray] in South Africa on 18 February 1910. It is not known when she moved to England. She trained as an architect at the Architectural Association School in London  and was a Howard Colls Student in 1930. In 1935 she married the architect Michael John Hewetson Bunney (1907-1997) and subsequently changed her name to Charlotte Bunney and practised together as M. J. H. & Charlotte Bunney [also known as Michael & Charlotte Bunney] and designed their own house, 13 Downshire Hill, in Hampstead in 1936. She was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1936.  

Her address was given as 13 Downshire Hill, Hampstead, London in 1939; and 30 Lowther Street, Kendal, Westmorland in 1950.  She died on 4 January 1995.
