Charles Henry Driver was born in Clapham, Surrey [now London], England in 1863. He was the son of the architect Charles Henry Driver, senior (1832-1900), with whom he may have received his training in the profession, He was active as an architect from the 1880s and from 1897 he was in partnership in London with Herbert Stanley Barrett (1876-1956) as Barrett & Driver. From c.1902 the practice was known as Stanley-Barrett & Driver.
'The London Gazette' of 24 October 1902 (p.6758) contains a notice that the partnership between the "undersigned Stanley Barrett and Charles Henry Driver, carrying on the business as Architects at 52 Blomfield Road, Vale, W., under the style Barrett and Driver, has been dissolved . . . Dated 20th day of October, 1902" The firm was subsequently known as Stanley-Barrett & Driver, and as Stanley Barrett & Driver.
Driver died on 25 August 1925. His address at the time of his death was given as 2 Burton Road, Brixton, Surrey
