Faulkner, Amos Francis 1868 - 1940

Amos Francis Faulkner was born in Westminster, London, England on 21 December 1868. Nothing is known about his training as an architect.   He was employed as an architect by the building firm William Willett and Son. In c.1912-13 he was briefly in partnership with Horace Field (1861-1948), Charles Evelyn Simmons (1879-1952) in the architectural firm Horace Field, Simmons & Faulkner in London. A drawing of Plot 4, Kensington Palace Gardens, London designed by them which was exhibited at the Royal Academy in London in 1913 is illustrated in Academy Architecture vol.44, 1913 (p.41). The address of the firm was given as 21 Berners Street, London in 1913.  

Faulkner was in practice as an architect until 1940. His address was given as 6 Gerrard Street, London in 1891; 71 Streathbourne Road, Upper Tooting, London in 1911; and 174 Weir Road, Wandsworth, London in 1940.  He died in Clapham Park, Surrey on 25 January 1940
