Fisher, Walter Robert Fitzgibbon 1898 - 1979

WRF Fisher

Walter Robert Fitzgibbon Fisher was born in Dolgelly, Merionethshire, Wales on 25 April 1898. He studied at the University of Cambridge and at the Architectural Association Schools in London and subsequently practised as an architect in London. In the late 1920s he was a partner with Wolstan Vyvyan Trubshawe (1893-1981) and (?) Fisher [1] in the architectural practice Fisher, Trubshawe & Fisher. By the late 1930s, one of the Fishers was no longer a partner in the firm which was by then known as Fisher & Trubshawe with Walter Robert Fitzgibbon Fisher as the senior partner.

Fisher was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1927 and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1939.  He died in Hounslow, London on 8 September 1979.
