Milnes, Eli 1830 - 1899

Eli Milnes was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England in 1830 and was articled to Walter Rawsorne (?-1867). He subsequently practised as an architect in Bradford.  He was in partnership with Jonathan Dixon (1802-1854) and, from 1863, with Charles France as Milnes & France. In 1888 Milnes's son, Charles Edward Milnes (1862-?) and France's son, Arthur Alderson France (1863-1916) became partners in the firm.

Eli Milnes died in Knaresborough, Yorkshire West Riding on 8 December 1899
