Brown & Burgess 1897 - ?

Brown & Burgess was an architectural partnership formed by Francis [Frank] Brown (1859-1929) and George Hastings Burgess (1869-1944) who in 1897 took over the practice in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, of Brightwen Binyon (1846-1905) following his retirement.

In 1919 Arthur Welburn Field (1883-1964) joined the practice. Following Burgess's death in 1944 Field continued the practice for a few more years.

Work by Brown & Burgess included Restoration of the Church of St. Peter, near Ipswich, Suffok (1901, 1909); and additions to Brantover, Leopold Road/Wolsey Terrace, Felixtowe, Suffolk (1905-06).
